eOn Names Cash GM of Millennium Business Unit

Atlanta, Ga., October 30, 2000 - eOn Communications Corporation(TM) (Nasdaq: EONC), a leading provider of unified voice, e-mail and Internet communications systems, announced the appointment of Robert R. Cash as general manager of its Millennium® Systems Business Unit. The Company also announced the release of Version 2.0 of the Millennium System.

Lee, chairman and chief executive officer of eOn. "Bob Cash previously led the Millennium Systems team during a period of record growth and profitability, and I am pleased he will take on the general manager role again."

Cash brings over twenty years of communications industry sales, marketing and senior management experience to his new assignment. He joined eOn in 1998 and currently serves as vice president and chief marketing officer, a responsibility he will retain.
