eOn Communications Subsidiary Expands Customer Base in China

New Subsidiary Records Initial Sales of eQueue and eQueue Enterprise Systems

ATLANTA (September 14, 2006)- eOn Communications Corporation™ (NASDAQ: EONC), a leading provider of telecommunications solutions, today announced that its 100% owned China subsidiary, eOn China, registered its initial sales, including the delivery of eQueue contact center solutions to CheMeng International Corporation and China Motion, along with the first deployment of the company’s IP telephony system, eQueue eNterprise, to Aviva-Cofco Insurance Company.

CheMeng provides automobile insurance products and emergency road side services to customers located in 17 different provinces in China through its popular web portal, www.cars.com.cn. The company selected the eQueue to improve its customer service delivery experience and to improve the efficiency of its growing multi-media contact center operation.

China Motion, a leading provider of outsourced call center services in China, has deployed an eQueue system in its Beijing business process outsourcing (BPO) center. Like BPO providers across the world, China Motion selected the eQueue for its broad feature set, flexibility and rapid application development tools. This combination of capabilities enables quick and cost effective responses to dynamic and complex customer requirements typically encountered by providers of outsourced call center services, enhancing provider competitiveness and bottom line results.

eOn China also sold the initial eQueue eNterprise system in China. Aviva-Cofco Life Insurance Company will use the VoIP communication system, packaged specifically to meet the business communications needs of medium to large enterprises in China, to improve employee productivity and streamline call center operations of the company’s Cheng Du branch location.

The company also reported that eOn China has successfully completed the necessary Chinese government registration process required in order to execute direct sales and collect revenues within the Peoples Republic of China.

“I am pleased to report these significant achievements made by our new subsidiary in China,” stated David Lee, eOn’s chairman and chief executive officer. Lee added, “Completing the complex business registration process and recording initial customer wins are major steps in what we believe will be our first significant revenue year in China.”
